Yuguda must follow due process to join APC – Spokesman

Former Bauchi State governor Malam Isa Yuguda has to follow processes as enshrined in the constitution of the All Progressives Congress (APC) if he wants to join the party.

State Publicity Secretary of the APC, Awwalu Jalla, stated this yesterday while answering questions from reporters in Gombe.

He said Yuguda’s joining the APC would not have much relevance. “The party is aware of who really he is, and how the then ANPP uplifted him from the grass to grace but he later betrayed it.”

He said: “APC as a party is not desperate in welcoming him. The party has a constitution whereby no executive member is allowed to accept any individual to the folds of the party without following due process. One must go to his APC ward executives with an application to be cleared and approved before becoming a member.”
Jalla also refuted the rumour that state executives of the APC had asked Yuguda to join them.
“The public should disregard any information regarding the party welcoming Yuguda. There is a committee that handles issues relating to defections,” he said.
